We are a small kennel originally from central Ohio, Sara began helping her grandfather with his Labrador Retrievers at a young age and adopted his passion for raising and training retrievers.
Our puppies are all raised indoors in our specially built whelping boxes where they learn to walk, explore and socialize under the watchful eyes of their mother and our family. The purchase of a puppy is a very important step and a commitment that will last 10-15 years. We work very hard to ensure the health of each of our dogs and puppies, to ensure we are producing quality puppies we work closely with our vet and specialists to have age appropriate health screenings completed. We do not frequently have adult dogs available for purchase but occasionally offer our retired adults for adoption to permanent, loving homes, contact us if you would like to be considered as a forever home for one of our dogs.
Labrador Retrievers are the All American dog and we’ve been blessed to own many amazing dogs in our family. Sara grew up with a black lab as their family companion and quickly found her passion for the breed when helping her Grandfather care for his kennel of hunting dogs and companions. However, she always admired the beautiful flowing coats of a Golden Retriever, when she had the opportunity to bring home her first Golden she brought home two and the beginning of Mulberry Retrievers was in motion. Fifteen years later Sara and Eric have relocated from their roots in Ohio to North Pole Alaska but continue sharing their love of Golden Retrievers and lifelong passion for Labrador Retrievers. Their children help them with daily care and most importantly socialization of our puppies and we have met so many wonderful families across the country who now call one of our Mulberry Puppies their own. We thank each and every one of these special families who we have entrusted with our puppies and look forward to meeting many more in the future.
