PUPPY PURCHASE PROCESS
Each of our puppies go to their new home with the following:
- Written health warranty
- Age-appropriate vaccines
- Deworming
- Puppy Information Folder
- Starter bag of food
- AKC Limited Registration
- Microchip
- Optional 30 days Free Pet Insurance
You may notice that many of our puppies have a collar on...this is to identify puppies from birth to allow us to track weight gain, health and personalities, it also aids in identification for families as they decide what puppy will become their newest family member. Before leaving our home each puppy receives a permanent microchip to ensure they can be identified if ever lost.
To purchase a puppy from Mulberry Retrievers we require a deposit of $500, this is non-refundable unless we are unable to provide you with your preferred sex/color of puppy from the litter you selected or within 6 months of the anticipated go home date. We reserve the right to refuse sale and will refund your deposit in such instance. We accept deposits via Zelle, Venmo or Personal Check, please contact us prior to submitting a deposit to verify current availability or future planned breeding's. We ask all families to complete our Puppy Contract with submission of their deposit to ensure you review our warranty and terms of the deposit and purchase.
We have a different process for puppy selection than most breeders. We do not assign you a puppy but instead prefer to allow families to choose their puppy based on temperament, structure and interaction after 6 weeks of age. We feel that being asked to pick based on photos or when a puppy is very young doesn't give families the best experience. Choice of your puppy is made based on the order deposits are placed. For our families who cannot visit our home due to distance or other circumstances we offer video chat appointments where you can see the puppies play, socialize and get input from us about their personalities to make your selection. We also post regularly on our Facebook group so families can see the pups as they grow.
